It’s quite compact (10.5” X 6” X 11”) yet has a good capacity of 3.5 liters – just under a gallon. Going by customer reviews, there are pros and cons to this relatively cheap pitcher. I’m happy to say, it’s mostly pros.
Filtration is totally up to scratch, you get a good PH. Those pesky contaminants and heavy metals will be a thing of the past. Despite a common belief that alkaline water is the healthiest option, scientific evidence doesn’t provide conclusive proof. However, the increasing majority of health enthusiasts are coming around to some basic factors indicating that it is good for your health.
Alkaline Water Health Benefits
The alkalinity or acidity of water is measured by its potential for hydrogen (PH). Since water is made up of 2 parts of hydrogen and 1 part oxygen (H₂0), the proportion of hydrogen is significant. Though the measurement can appear to be misleading. High concentrations of hydrogen (H+) means a low PH. More hydrogen (low PH) means greater acidity. Less hydrogen (high PH) means alkaline, or low acidity.
This means that alkaline water, with a low PH will have more oxygen compared to hydrogen. Your body, therefore, receives more oxygen from every glass of alkaline water that you drink. Since oxygen is generally considered the most important element in the body, this can only be a good thing.
I’ve seen some misguided articles, written by people who seem to be confused by the term hydrogen water.
