There’s no need to tell people how great Shark vacuum cleaners are, their reputation speaks for itself. Although the Shark Ninja brand has been associated with quality domestic appliances for many years, they have only ventured into the realm of cordless vacuum cleaners more recently. Since their introduction, Shark ION cordless vacuum cleaners have made their mark in the industry and, like all Shark products, they have rapidly become amongst the most popular.
This review is going to concentrate on the Shark ION Flex DuoClean cordless vacuum cleaners. We’ll be looking at the Shark IONFlex 2x DuoClean and the Shark IONFlex DuoClean Cordless Ultra-Light vacuum cleaners. You may be wondering what the difference is between these two vacuum cleaners. Well, by reading this review, you’ll find that out. There really isn’t much difference, but you’ll see by the price, that the Shark ION Flex 2x DuoClean is more expensive and this review will explain what you’re getting for the extra money.
Shark ION Flex 2x DuoClean Cordless Vacuum IF251
This is a magnificent cordless vacuum cleaner and, as a high-end model with fantastic features, it’s very reasonably priced. So let’s look at why the Shark ION Flex 2x DuoClean Cordless Vacuum is creating such a storm.
The Shark DuoClean cordless vacuum cleaners have the advantage of two brush rolls. You get a bristle brush that is designed to deep clean your carpets, removing dirt and hair that has been trampled into the fibers. The second, soft roller brush is perfect for hard floors and will gently clean and polish your floors at the same time, as well as sucking up large debris that isn’t always possible to do with a bristle brush.
The phrase ION Flex makes for a complicated name for this vacuum, but it describes one for the best features of the Shark IONFlex DuoClean range. This is the most versatile cordless stick vacuum because of its flexibility. The upright pipe is able to bend in the middle. This makes it possible for the Shark IONFlex to get into difficult to reach places, like under furniture. There’s no need to bend or stretch when cleaning these areas of your home, the Shark does that for you. It can fold over double which reduces the height of the machine by almost half and this makes it one of the most compact upright vacuum cleaners to store.
The Shark ION Flex DuoClean is also incredibly light, only 8.7 LBS. Carrying this vacuum is as effortless as anyone could hope for. It also converts into a handheld cordless vacuum cleaner in seconds and, in this format, it’s even lighter (about 3LBS) and gives you the ability to reach high areas, like your ceilings, with absolute ease.
The bonus feature of the Shark ION Flex 2x DuoClean is in the extra battery that you get with the vacuum cleaner and a charging station that comes with it. This means that you can have a standby battery charging while you work. So this will give you double the working time that you would otherwise have had. In addition to this, the Shark IONFlex DuoClean has several settings to maximize its power usage. You can set the vacuum cleaner for the best performance, depending on the type of cleaning that you’re doing.
Your purchase includes a Pet Multi-tool, a crevice dusting tool, and an anti-allergen dusting brush. Shark also offers a wide range of optional extras for their vacuum cleaners. So you can customize your Shark vacuum cleaner to meet your needs.
Shark Ninja is a brand that is committed to customer satisfaction, this is something that owners of their products have commented on. You are not only going to get excellent service from these guys, the Shark IONFlex DuoClean also has a fantastic 5-year warranty.
Shark IONFlex DuoClean Cordless Ultra-Light Vacuum IF201
When it comes down to it, these are very much the same vacuum cleaner. This model has all the fantastic features that you get on the other Shark IONFlex DuoClean model. It has the same dual roller brushes and flexibility. It weighs the same and also converts into a handheld vacuum cleaner. So, now you’re probably asking: What’s the difference between the Shark IONFlex 2x DuoClean and the Shark ION Flex DuoClean?
The addition of “2x” in the other model’s name is a clue to this. The ION Flex DuoClean (without the “2x”) doesn’t have the extra battery and therefore costs less. This means that if you’re not cleaning a large area and are mostly using your vacuum cleaner on hard floors, you may not need the extra working time that you’ll get from an additional battery. In this case, you could save some money by buying the Standard Shark ION Flex DuoClean – you’re getting the same vacuum cleaner. You can always buy an additional battery for this vacuum. But if you want the extra working time, it will be more economical to buy the Shark IONFlex 2x DuoClean that has the extra battery and charging station included in your purchase price.

We have a new Shark IonFlex IF205, and it disassembles very well to clean it of dog hair and dust. There is one flaw in the design in that there are two small black felt lined rollers, one on each side on the bottom of the cleaning head. Hair wraps around those black rollers and is nearly impossible to get out. I called support and they told me that I ma the first to report this problem. I find that hard to believe. There was no help to get the hair out from around those two rollers. So the suggestion was to keep trying. I called support after 40 minutes of trying. The rest of the machine was easy to clean in just a few minutes, so why do these rollers get jammed with hair that is not easy to remove? The design needs this minor change, make those rollers so they can be removed to get hair out from around them.

Hi there, the best truck for any roller head is a seam ripper (used in sewing to cut stitching)
I use a small pocket knife and cut the hair, then it come right off.
